Camille Chedda is a Jamaican artist who explores themes of race, heritage, and postcolonial identity through drawing, painting, collage, and installations.

She often uses materials such as plastic bags, cement, and concrete blocks to evoke concepts of construction, decay, and temporality. Her work connects the human body with the built environment, capturing a sense of both permanence and impermanence.

Chedda holds an Honours Diploma from the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts and an MFA from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Her work has been featured in exhibitions including documenta fifteen, the Kingston Biennial, AIRTS, Relational Undercurrents, and the Ghetto Biennale.

She has received several awards, including the Albert Huie Award, the Dawn Scott Memorial Award, and the British Council TAARE. She has completed residencies at institutions such as Art Omi in New York and Alice Yard in Port of Spain.

In addition to her studio practice, Chedda manages the InPulse Art Project and lectures at the Edna Manley College.

She is represented by The Olympia Gallery.
