Kudzanai Chiurai (b. 1981, Harare) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores political and social conflict in postcolonial Africa. His practice examines themes such as xenophobia, displacement, urban life, and the enduring legacy of Western influence.

His films and photographs have been featured in major international exhibitions, including his film We Live in Silence (Chs. 1–7) at the Venice Biennale (2024) and his photographs in Tate Modern’s A World in Common (2023). Other notable projects include Conflict Resolution at documenta 13 (2012) and Iyeza at Sundance’s New Frontier.

Chiurai is the founder of The Library of Things We Forgot to Remember, an evolving archive curated by guest librarians. He has had solo exhibitions at institutions such as Zeitz MOCAA and IFA Stuttgart, and his work is held in prominent collections including MoMA, PAMM, the Walther Collection, the Pigozzi Collection, and Zeitz MOCAA.

He is based in Harare and is represented by Goodman Gallery.
