DAHOMEY (2024)

In 2021, twenty-six royal treasures from Dahomey are preparing to be repatriated to their homeland. Along with several thousand others, these artefacts were looted during the invasion of French colonial troops in 1892. Dahomey is a magnetic work of experimental non-fiction, mediating on the spiritual reality and intellectual challenge of return. While the soul of the works is being freed, debates rage among students at the University of Abomey Calavi.
