MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Marketing and Communications Lead, the Marketing and Communications Associate will be responsible for all aspects of brand storytelling.

In this role, you will craft, curate, and refine compelling narratives that reflect the ART X brand and resonate with our diverse audiences. Your creative output will span multiple media channels, including digital, print, and video, ensuring a consistent and engaging voice across all touchpoints. You will work collaboratively with our creative, marketing, and design teams to bring our vision to life and enhance our global presence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Marketing and Communications Lead in developing and executing integrated marketing campaign plans that align with ART X’s mission, strategic priorities, and annual calendar, ensuring that all briefs, approvals, timelines, and final deliverables are tracked and completed to a high standard.
  • Work with the Marketing and Communications Lead to coordinate with external agencies, freelancers, and vendors including PR, paid media, web, print, photography, videography, editors, and graphic graphic designers to ensure the consistent and timely delivery of work.
  • Support the drafting of copy, setup, scheduling, and deployment of newsletters and email marketing campaigns, ensuring strong coordination with Guest Relations and accurate audience, timing, and sponsor information.
  • Assist with the development and traffic management of paid media campaigns, including collating creative requirements, coordinating approvals, tracking budget allocations, and monitoring weekly reports.
  • Support PR implementation by coordinating timelines, asset delivery, press materials, and logistical requirements with the appointed PR agency and relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate ATL and campaign asset delivery including print, billboard, television, invitation, and partner-specific adaptations, ensuring all deliverables are approved and shared on time.
  • Support catalogue production by coordinating timelines, copy collation, editor handover, design updates, print approvals, and final delivery with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Maintain the central fact sheet and related information documents, ensuring updates from Exhibitor Relations, Curatorial, Guest Relations, Partnerships, and other teams are reflected accurately and promptly.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure all marketing information, assets, and campaign deliverables are aligned with broader organisational needs.
  • Coordinate sponsor and media partner marketing requirements, ensuring the correct logos, captions, co-branded assets, and reporting expectations are reflected across campaign activity.
  • Track campaign, website, newsletter, paid media, and partner performance reports, helping to compile post-campaign evaluations with clear insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee strong marketing administration, including vendor trackers, payment follow-up, meeting notes, asset logs, file archiving, and the orderly storage of campaign materials in line with internal policies.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining excellent attention to detail, clear communication, and high execution standards in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Marketing and Communications Lead.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously. Other key requirements include:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing, communications, PR, or journalism, preferably within the art, culture, or creative sectors.
  • A strong cultural alignment with ART X’s values of excellence, ownership, kindness, integrity - consistently going the extra mile as a catalyst for change.
  • Proven experience managing a marketing campaign from brief to reporting.
  • A proven track record of developing compelling content that engages diverse audiences and builds brand equity.
  • Strong creative and analytical abilities, with the capacity to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with digital content tools, and social media management.
  • A genuine passion for art and culture, and alignment with ART X’s values and mission.
  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Docs, InDesign or similar design software.
