2025 marks a decade of ART X Lagos - a platform designed with a bold dream: to champion African creativity on the global stage. What began in Lagos has since become a movement—connecting hundreds of visionary artists from over 70 countries with more than 700,000 visitors from 170 nations worldwide.
This November, we invite you to celebrate ten years of creativity, community and transformation; ten years at the forefront of African creativity - connecting artists, performers, collectors, and communities across the continent and beyond. Through ART X Live!, ART X Cinema, ART X Talks, the ART X Prize, and more, we’ve reimagined what it means to tell Africa’s story.
Our 10th edition will welcome international and local galleries and several commissioned special projects and performances, responding to the theme: Imagining Otherwise, No Matter the Tide.
As we imagine the future of Lagos and urban, and global centers more broadly, we ask: How can human imagination help us create healthy, thriving spaces that foster fellow feeling? We look to artists and their ability to poetically Imagine Otherwise, so that we might consider how we, individually and collectively, have the agency to act, imagine, and cultivate a higher quality of life.
