ART X Lagos, the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, and the French Embassy in Nigeria have joined forces to launch RESONANCE, a new annual residency programme for curators, visual artists, and designers based in Nigeria.
This initiative opens new avenues for collaboration, offering selected participants the opportunity to build lasting connections within both the Nigerian and international art ecosystems.
Each year, the three-month residency will host one visual artist, one designer, and one curator. Each laureate will be paired with a France-based professional from their field and supported with professional networking opportunities facilitated by the Cité Internationale des Arts, alongside financial assistance.
Following an open call for applications, a jury composed of representatives from the three partner institutions reviewed the submissions. For this first edition, the following laureates have been selected:
RESONANCE Programme 2025
- Mobolaji Ogunrosoye — Visual Artist
- Olorunfemi Adewuyi — Designer
- Tony Agbapuonwu — Curator
The laureates will benefit from tailored support throughout their residencies in Paris, enabling them to advance their research, forge new collaborations, and strengthen their professional presence on the international stage.
Congratulations to the three successful applicants.
