dafe.cafe invites you to Wander and Wonder into Timilehin Oludare Osanyintolu’s world of art: a presentation of the process of his practice, followed by drinks at one of his favourite galleries, and concluding at the ART X Lagos fair. Wander Wonder is a play on words that evoke both movement (wander) and curiosity or awe (wonder). It captures the essence of this event, a guided journey through visual and sound experiences that encourage participants to explore, reflect and feel. In this spirit of exploration, Osanyintolu’s mediums take centre as a way to create tangible, and at times even sensory, imagery of his unconscious practice. From the permanence of his penmanship to the relief of ink and water on paper, his works unfold as visual outcomes of an uncontrolled process. They move between Abstract Expressionism and Surrealism, which perhaps explains why he refers to himself as a material surrealist.
