For Us, By Us: Developing a Healthier Creative Ecosystem

Roundtable: For Us, By Us: Developing a Healthier Creative Ecosystem

Curated by Fikayo Adebajo and co-developed with Amanda Iheme.

The Development Forum reimagined what it meant to gather around the future of art. We shifted from panels to participation, inviting emerging artists and art stakeholders to explore what it takes to build thriving, sustainable artistic ecosystems in today’s changing world.

The Roundtable Discussion carved space to connect, learn, and co-create practical solutions for a healthier creative ecosystem. It centred the knowledge of emerging creatives as important stakeholders in decision making, breaking from talk-heavy conventions. Big questions were broken down into small-table conversations to turn dialogue into real actions.

Guided by voices across the sector, this session provided participants with the opportunity to identify challenges within the current arts ecosystems, and ideate on actionable solutions together.
